Conditions at Time of Play:
Middle of winter, 9:48am tee off, Sunny winters day and about 14 Celsius when we hit off with clear blue skies and no wind. Wind picked up during back 9 but conditions were good.

We walked the course, it was full but not super busy. Hole 18 was closed due to irrigation works, so hole 15 was playing as two temporary holes as a par 4 and a per 3.

Years ago, this course would have been extremely muddy, but they seem to have worked on drainage a lot and it was in decent condition.

⭐ Overall Rating

The course was enjoyable. Good drainage meant golf in the middle of winter is enjoyable here with the ground staff seemingly doing a good job.

A shorter inner-city course that I will definitely play again. In much better condition than I had remembered it. Receptive greens, good fairways and some tightish tee shots on numerous holes.

Being able to draw the ball is a huge advantage for anyone playing this course.

Good pace of play and a friendly vibe all across the property.

Overall Condition	⭐⭐⭐☆ (7.5/10)	Decent conditioning for a busy public inner-city course. A few tee boxes in need of grass but that is the only fault I could pick for this course.
Difficulty	⭐⭐⭐ (6/10)	Some tight tee shots in places, strategic water and bunkering, whilst limited around greens comes into play. The shorter distance reduces the difficulty, but you need to be straight.
Tee Condition	⭐⭐⭐ (6/10)	Generally ok but a few need some serious work as they are almost purely sand.
Fairway Condition	⭐⭐⭐⭐ (8/10)	All fairways were well maintained with good grass coverage and welcoming.
Green Condition	⭐⭐⭐⭐ (8/10)	A few well contoured greens on property. They were in good condition. You can attack knowing they will hold but ran consistently and true when putting. A few tough pin placements made for an enjoyable challenge.
Bunker Condition	⭐⭐⭐☆ (7/10)	The majority I saw were in good condition and well maintained and recently raked. A few had pools of water and no GUR signs which needs to be looked at.
Clubhouse/ Bar & Food	⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (0/10)	Did not use. But it looked welcoming.
Pro Shop Experience	⭐⭐⭐⭐ (8/10)	Very friendly and informative staff. Not a huge range but had the essentials.
Value for Money	⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (9/10)	For the location and conditioning I think this course is fantastic value for money.

I had played here recently for the first time in over 2 years and enjoyed the layout and the conditions. Its location is also very attractive, and the price is very welcome.

📝 THE REVIEW

First Impressions & Standout Features

Nice area walking in from the car park towards the pro shop and the walk to the first tee really gets you in the mood for a good day on the golf course.

Standout feature for me was the condition of the fairways for this time of year deep into a Melbourne winter.

Best Holes or Memorable Moments

I like the par 5 opening hole, it is a good starting hole, nothing special but helps you set up a good round. The par 3 9th is aesthetically pleasing, but also a good little challenge. The 2nd, with a tee shot over the water lets you know the course is not as easy as you think.

The back 9, though a lot shorter, just flows really nicely as does the whole course for that matter. I like 11, 13 and 17 on the back. the 15th and 17th especially, require good course management.
