⭐ Overall Rating

Overall, we all rated this course highly. None of us had played here before and we found it to be a really enjoyable and somewhat challenging course.

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (8.06/10)

📊 RATINGS SUMMARY

Category Rating Notes (optional but encouraged)
Overall Condition ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (8/10) Good condition for a public access course and in the middle of winter as well.
Difficulty ⭐⭐⭐☆ (7.5/10) Shortish in distance but undulation changes and greens that ran fast with plenty of directional changes make it a really good challenge.
Tee Condition ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (8/10) All tees well grassed and maintained.
Fairway Condition ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (8.5/10) Good fairways, some of the valleys were a tad wet but you expect that. 18th fairway roped off with drop outside ropes. Not sure if due to wetness or recent works.
Green Condition ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (9/10) Excellent tough greens. Fast but receptive. Well contoured making them very challenging.
Bunker Condition ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (8/10) Well kept and raked.
Clubhouse/ Bar & Food ⭐⭐⭐☆ (7.5/10) Limited food available, sandwiches and pies only. Pod coffee machine.
Pro Shop Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (8/10) Ok.
Value for Money ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (8/10) Reasonable and very acceptable.

Would you play here again?

📝 THE REVIEW

First Impressions & Standout Features

(Atmosphere, landscape, defining features, maintenance, uniqueness)

Best Holes or Memorable Moments

I liked the 1st, a nice wide short par 4 up the hill. Nice hole to start on - we didn't, but you know what I mean.

Preferred the front 9 to the back. Nothing wrong with the back the front 9 was a little more appealing. Hole # 8 is a tempting short par 4 with a huge tree to get over to reach the green in 1, very attractive hole. Nice par 3's, 3, 13 and 16 enjoyable holes. A mix of shorter and reasonable length par 4's and a couple of shorter par 5's.

💬 General comments or suggestions

Expect plenty of undulation throughout the greens, with numerous ridges, slopes, and directional changes that make putting both challenging and rewarding.

Fairways can be tricky with some slopes based on the hilly nature of the property.

A very enjoyable golf course.

Yarrambat Park Golf Club - Review July 5th 2026

Yarrambat Park Golf Club - The par 5 7th and 12th are nice holes as is the par 4 9th. The 1st is a wide wide par 4 - good hole to start on and I really like the 18th as a finishing hole. Playing it...

Gardiners Run - Review July 9th 2026

The 18th at Gardners Run is a stunning finishing hole for me. An uphill drive then over the hill is a drop down overlooking the 18th green, guarded on the left by a lake and the lovely clubhouse be...
